Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, Hon’ble Minister for Foreign Affairs met with a delegation from Thailand comprising of participants of the Foreign Affairs Executive Program being conducted by the Thai Foreign Service Institute. The delegation is in Bhutan on a study visit as a part of Foreign Affairs Executive Program. Lyonpo gave a briefing on ‘the Relation between Bhutan and Thailand’ at the Convention Center in Thimphu on 27 July 2016. Later in the evening Amb. Tshering Dorji, Hon’ble Foreign Secretary hosted a Reception in honour of the Thai delegation at the Hotel Le Meridien in Thimphu. H.E. Miss Panpimon Suwanapongse, Ambassador of Thailand to Bhutan and H.E. Mr. Somsak Changtrakul, Governor of Ubonratchatani Province in Thailand were also part of the delegation.

Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, Hon’ble Minister for Foreign Affairs, met H.E. Ms. Linus von Castelmur, Ambassador of Switzerland to Bhutan, on 29 June 2016. Mr. Castelmur is on his farewell visit to Bhutan. He became the Ambassador of Switzerland to Bhutan in April 2013.
At the invitation of His Majesty the King of Bhutan, H. E. Mr. Abdul Hamid, President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh will arrive in the country on 1st July 2016 on a four day State visit to Bhutan. This is a first visit to Bhutan by the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Read More
