The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Resident Representative to Bhutan Mr. Tshewang Norbu presented his credentials to the Hon’ble Minister for Foreign Affairs, Lyonpo Rinzin Dorje, at a ceremony conducted at the Gyalyong Tshokhang on 28 August 2014.

Mr. Norbu holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Sherubtse College and a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University, New York, USA. Prior to his appointment as ADB Resident Representative, he worked for the Department of Public Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Royal Government of Bhutan.

Mr. Norbu is a Bhutanese national and is the first ADB Resident Representative in Bhutan. The ADB Resident Mission Office in Bhutan was inaugurated in February this year.
