Madam Suchada Thaibunthao, Director-General, Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) presented a cheque/demand draft amount to US $ 44,004.22 on behalf of the Office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Srindhorn for the Collaborative Project for 6 schools for the ongoing Children and Youth Development in Bhutan under the Royal Patronage of HRH. Ambassador Kesang Wangdi, Royal Bhutanese Embassy received the cheque/demand draft on behalf of the Ministry of Education at a handing over ceremony at the TICA office in Bangkok in the presence of senior officials of TICA and Royal Bhutanese Embassy on 11 December 2014.
The Royal Collaborative School Projects started in 2012 with 3 schools of Wanakha LSS, Genekha LSS and Yurung MSS under Paro, Thimphu and Pema Gathshel Dzongkhags respectively. Additional 3 schools of Samtengang PS, Tshangkha LSS and Norbuling MSS under Wangdue Phodrang, Dagana and Sarpang Dzongkhags respectively were identified to be covered under the Royal Projects.
Ambassador expressed deep appreciation on behalf of Their Majesties the King and Queen, Royal Government and people of Bhutan to Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand, Royal Government and people of Thailand and HRH Princess Princess Maha Chakri Srindhorn and TICA for their continued generous assistance and support in various developmental activities in Bhutan.
