His Excellency Mr. Hatem Elsayed Mohamed Tageldin, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bhutan, and His Excellency Mr. Tomasz Lukaszuk, Ambassador of Republic of Poland to Bhutan, presented credentials to His Majesty the King at Tashichhodzong today.
His Majesty the King also granted an audience to the Ambassadors after the credentials ceremony. Later, the two Ambassadors called on Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay and met other senior officials of the Royal Government of Bhutan to discuss issues of mutual interest and cooperation.
Bhutan established formal diplomatic relations with Poland and Egypt in November 2012. The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi are concurrently accredited to Bhutan.
