The Bhutanese Students studying in Thailand and the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Bangkok celebrated the 36th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck in the Embassy compound. The celebration was attended by the students, Bhutanese working in Thailand, Embassy officials and family members. Auditor General of Bhutan Dasho Tshering Kezang attended the programme as the Chief Guest.

The celebration started with flag hoisting and singing of National Anthem, offering of Marchang and cutting of cake with singing of Happy Birthday song for His Majesty the King. In his address to the gathering the Chief Guest offered deep gratitude for His Majesty’s kindness towards his people and many of the Kidu programme initiated for his subject’s welfare. He also paid rich tributes to His Majesty’s un-paralleled leadership under which the Bhutanese people are enjoying unprecedented peace, happiness and prosperity.

The students presented numerous cultural performances. Through many of their songs and dances, the students offered their heartfelt felicitations to His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen on the birth of His Royal Highness the Gyalsey.
