Royal Civil Service Award 2016

20161216_11413920161216_120136The Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated the Royal Civil Service Award 2016 in a simple ceremony at the Minister’s Meeting Hall at Gyalyong Tshokhang on 16th December 2016. The Award was conferred to the recipients in keeping with the Royal Command issued to the Royal Civil Service Commission and also as per the Chapter 22 of Bhutan Civil Service Rules and Regulations 2012 for their dedicated service to the Tsa-wa-sum. 
 
Addressing the small gathering, the Officiating Foreign Secretary, Ambassador Kesang Wangdi said that the Award System was initiated by the RCSC on the command of His Majesty the King in recognition of their clear and dedicated service to the Tsa-Wa-Sum. Ambassador also conveyed the congratulatory message from the Hon’ble Foreign Minister to all the recipients. There were eight (8) Bronze Medals for 10 years, one (1) Silver Medal for 20 years and one (1) Gold Medal for 30 years. The medals for the officials who are serving overseas were sent to their respective Embassies/Missions and Consulate and will be awarded by the Head of the Embassies/Missions and Consulate.
 
On this happy occasion, the entire family of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wish to congratulate all the medal recipients and pay tribute to His Majesty the King for his love and compassion and also to re-dedicate to the service of Tsa-wa-sum.
