Functions

  • Coordinate all substantive, organizational and routine matters relating to the United Nations and its specialized agencies, and other regional and international organizations
  • Coordinate the Royal Government’s participation in all international conferences, seminars, workshops and training programmes organized under the auspices of the UN and related agencies, and other international organizations
  • Coordinate Royal Government’s participation and working relations with international financial institutions, and other international and regional organizations
  • Process and coordinate all activities relating to Bhutan’s candidature to various posts at the UN, and Bhutan’s accession to international Conventions, treaties and other legal instruments
