Travel Advisory for Bhutanese travelling to Thailand

With effect from 1 July 2022, foreign travellers wishing to enter Thailand no need to process Thailand Pass and no need to have medical insurance for covid-19 treatment which was required earlier. However, travellers need to carry the following documents:

  1. Vaccination Certificate, if fully vaccinated.
  2. Covid-19 RT-PCR or Professional ATK test result issued within 72 hours before travelling, if not vaccinated.

Transit/Transfer via Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand:

Bhutanese passengers on transit via Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi airport must note the following:

  1. Carry valid passport. 
  2. The layover time at Suvarnabhumi Airport should not exceed 24 hours. 
  3. Check the entry requirements of the destination country and prepare necessary documents.
  4. Vaccination Certificate (for fully vaccinated travellers) or Covid-19 RT-PCR/Professional ATK test result issued within 72 hours before travelling (for unvaccinated travellers).
  5. For the smooth transfer of baggage & passengers during the transit, please get confirmation from your onward airlines and Druk Air. In case the onward carrier does not accept transit passengers to/from Druk Air, Passengers may need to exit immigration, claim baggage from the belt and check in from the counters at the departure terminal.
