The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Brussels celebrated the 44th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck with Bhutanese and friends residing in Belgium and nearby countries.<\/div>\n

To mark the sacred and auspicious occasion, the Embassy installed three new statues of Buddha, Guru Rinpoche and Zhabdrung (Che-Long-Trul sum) at the Chancery in the morning for the continued happiness, good health and long life of His Majesty The King.<\/div>\n

The celebration began with the lighting of butter lamps, followed by the national anthem and recitation of Zhabten for the long life of His Majesty The King. Addressing the gathering, Kutshab Tshoki Choden highlighted the significance of the day and informed that if there is one thing that Bhutanese people living all over the world have in common, it is our love and respect for His Majesty The King. Kutshab further stressed that today is an opportunity for all Bhutanese to reflect and rededicate ourselves to the service of the Tsa-wa-sum.<\/div>\n
