The Embassy delivers the majority of its services online. Individuals are encouraged to contact the Embassy by email or telephone for any inquiries, without the need to visit in person.<\/p>\n

Processes for availing documentary services are detailed below. More services will be added in the future based on demand and need. Please allow the Embassy at least 3 working days to respond to your request.<\/span><\/p>\n

Email to <\/span>rbecanberra@mfa.gov.bt<\/a><\/strong> with the subject line: \u201cState Name: Driving License Verification Request.\u201d For instance, if you live in Canberra, the subject line of the email should read as follows: \u201c<\/span>Canberra: Driving License Verification Request\u201d<\/b><\/b><\/b><\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

2. Following documents will be required for the process:
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

a. An email detailing your request and mentioning if the Verification Letter has to be sent to the individual or an appropriate authority in their State;<\/span><\/p>\n

b. A copy of the Citizenship Identity Card;<\/span><\/p>\n

c. A copy of the driving license (Both front and back)<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Officers will attempt to verify and issue the letter via email within 3 working days. When and if necessary, they will refer the request to the Bhutan Construction and Transport Authority in Thimphu, which may add few more working days to the turnaround time.\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n

Kindly note that the Embassy does not issue\/renew Citizenship Identity cards. \u00a0CID will <\/span>have to \u00a0be applied\/renewed from the Department of Civil Registration and Census, Ministry of Home Affairs(MoHA) in Bhutan. Relevant links are shared below:<\/span><\/p>\n

    Individuals are requested to contact the above Officers as per their jurisdiction. You can either call the Embassy or email the Officer directly. You can also visit the Officers at the Embassy, however it is advisable to seek appointments and availability ahead of time to allow proper planning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    As the Embassy does not charge for any consular services, it is the responsibility of the person to cover any additional costs that may be incurred if the service of a third party is required in the process.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Alternately, individuals can approach the respective Bhutanese Associations in their State\/Territory. The Embassy remains in regular contact with the Bhutanese Associations:<\/p>\n
