This has led to the formation of several community groups that are focused on promoting their welfare and wellbeing. The community groups highlighted in this section act as an important link between the Embassy and the broader Bhutanese community in various States and Territories across the country. Therefore, Bhutanese are encouraged to connect with the respective Associations in their State.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div><div class=\"toggle close\"><h3 class=\"toggle-head-open\">Bhutanese Students\u2019 Association Armidale<i class=\"fa fa-angle-up\"><\/i><\/h3><h3 class=\"toggle-head-close\">Bhutanese Students\u2019 Association Armidale<i class=\"fa fa-angle-down\"><\/i><\/h3><div class=\"toggle-content\">\n\t\t\tThe Bhutanese Students\u2019 Association- BSA, Armidale, NSW, Australia was instituted on 18 March 2011 to maintain solidarity and promote welfare amongst Bhutanese community of Armidale, NSW. Currently, there are 70 members including four executives who are elected annually. BSA in Armidale is guided by two patrons who are retired professors of the University of New England. (DAT Inc.), and it was incorporated on 14 October 2021. Establishment of the DAT Inc. was motivated by a pressing need to safeguard the welfare of every Bhutanese and nurture the growth of the Bhutanese population in Tasmania. The executive members of the association are elected annually, and are dedicated to encouraging community engagement, support, and societal and cultural strengthening.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">BBAI\u2019s vision is to promote a harmonious, vibrant, and caring Bhutanese community bonded by trust, faith and values, and guided by standards of honesty and integrity. The group was initially called as True Bhutanese Sydney but renamed as Sydney Bhutanese Community in March 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The group aims to bring together all the Bhutanese residing in Sydney which consist mostly of students from Bhutan. The group also acts as a contact point for all the Bhutanese living in Sydney. The group organises community events such as meeting with the visiting officials from Bhutan, festival events, spiritual events, etc. including cross cultural exchanges with other communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SBC group is still an informal organisation and hence the executives are voluntary and not elected. SBC plans to be registered as an incorporated Association. Mr Yeshi Dendup is the Acting President. Currently SBC has about 200 adult members from just about 30 members when it was first founded. Striving towards the core vision of building a happy Bhutanese community, ABPI organises events and functions as well as assists newly arrived Bhutanese settle in Western Australia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ABPI team comprises a Board of Directors and Executives who are elected biennially and annually respectively. (DMA) is a not-for-profit community organization formed by Bhutanese international students and permanent residents in Victoria. After its establishment in early 2017 and functioning as an informal organization for two years, DMA was\u00a0 incorporated in 2019. Currently There are two hundred and fifty Bhutanese people formally registered as members with the association.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DMA has been interacting and developing networks with other local organizations and communities to strengthen the relationship and connection between Bhutanese and Australians in Victoria. DMA is highly vibrant and aspires to promote and preserve Bhutanese culture in the multicultural setting of Victoria.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The association is administered by an Executive Committee who are elected annually by the community members through proper voting procedures. It is managed by volunteers who are elected annually as Executive Committee members.
