The Schengen visas for the countries such as <strong style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, France, the Czech Republic, Iceland (only biometrics)<\/strong>,<strong style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Japan, UK, Australia (biometrics), Lebanon and Malta (only long term visas)<\/strong>&nbsp;are processed at VFS, Thimphu (Office#17176868). Applicants are also encouraged to visit this site which contains common information for Schengen visas <a style=\"font-weight: 400;\" href=\"https:\/\/visa.vfsglobal.com\/ind\/en\/deu\/common-information\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\">https:\/\/visa.vfsglobal.com\/ind\/en\/deu\/common-information<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Transit visa requirements in Schengen States<\/strong><br \/>\nBhutanese transiting through airports in the Schengen Area do not require transit visas provided that they do not exit the international transit area of the airport. However, please bear in mind that if you need to exit the international transit area of the airport and pass through immigration check points before taking your connecting flight, you will have to apply for an Airport Transit Visa. Further, if you need to transit through more than one airport in the Schengen Area, you will need to apply for a regular Schengen Visa (Type C). You will also have to apply for a regular Schengen Visa (Type C) in case you need to leave the airport in order to take your flight in another airport within the same country. font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi only processes visas for Bhutanese Officials travelling abroad for official business.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">The visa application and other required documents should be accompanied by a letter issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Bhutan, instructing RBE, New Delhi, to facilitate visa processing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">The visa application and other required documents must reach RBE, New Delhi, <strong>THREE WEEKS<\/strong> in advance before the travel date in order to obtain a visa on time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">RBE does not take responsibility if visas are not obtained on time due to non-timely submission or non-provision of required documents to process visas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;
