Namgyel of Bhutan and Ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu of Japan signed the Exchange of Notes under the Japanese Grant Aid \u2018The Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at the National and Regional Referral Hospitals\u2019 with assistance amounting to 551 million Yen.<\/p>\n<p>The two Ambassador&#8217;s also signed three Grant Contracts under the Grant Assistant for Grassroots Projects (GGP), \u2018The Project for Provision of Equipment for National Mushroom Centre\u2019 amounting to 8.4 million Yen, \u2018The Project for Provision of Medical Equipment for Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital\u2019 amounting to 8.5 million Yen, and \u2018The Project for the Construction of Construction of Girl\u2019s Hostel at Chungkha Primary School in Chhuka\u2019 amounting to 8.3 million Yen.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the signing ceremony held at the Japanese Embassy in New Delhi, Ambassador V. Namgyel conveyed the appreciation of the Royal Government of Bhutan to the Government of Japan for its steadfast support to Bhutan&#8217;s development for many years that has contributed to improving the quality of life of the Bhutanese people. He said that these four grant projects will further enhance the delivery of quality health services and reinforce the quality of life of the people of Bhutan by improving medical facilities, improving boarding facilities for girls and agricultural development in Bhutan.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador V. Namgyel also said that these projects stand as further testimonies of the excellent ties of friendship, understanding and cooperation between the two countries.
