Visa/ Entry Permit

The Royal Bhutanese Consulate General in Kolkata does not issue any visa or entry permit. Bhutanese visas or entry permits are only issued by the Department of Immigration, Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs in Bhutan. For Tourist

Any foreigner intending to visit Bhutan as a tourist must process their visit through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator. Details are available at the website of the Tourism Council of Bhutan https://www.tourism.gov.bt/tour-operators 

For Business and Working visa

Nationals of India, Bangladesh and Maldives can obtain a visa/ entry permit at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 month validity. For Indian nationals, the entry permit will be issued upon producing a Voters Identity Card (VIC) if they do not hold passports. Other nationals must obtain e-visa clearance prior to entry into Bhutan.Visas/ entry permits have to be processed by the organizer/counterpart in Bhutan.
