On 01 September 2026, Kutshab Phub Dorji, Ambassador-designate of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the Kingdom of Bahrain , resident in the State of Kuwait, presented a copy of his Letter of Credence to H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, virtually.
During the virtual ceremony, Kutshab conveyed warm greetings and good wishes of His Majesty The King, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, the Royal Family, the Royal Government and the people of Bhutan to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the government and the people of Bahrain. Kutshab expressed his commitment to work with the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain towards further strengthening the bilateral relations and economic ties between the two countries.
H.E. Dr. Al-Zayani conveyed best wishes for continued good health of His Majesty The King and for the continued prosperity of Bhutan. H.E. Dr. Al-Zayani congratulated Kutshab for his new assignment as the Ambassador of Bhutan to the Kingdom of Bahrain and wished him all the best. He expressed his keen interest in working with the Royal Government of Bhutan in advancing bilateral relations.
Diplomatic relations between Bhutan and Bahrain were established on 06 January 1992. The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in the State of Kuwait is concurrently accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
