Royal Bhutanese Embassy, Kuwait
The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in the State of Kuwait celebrated the 70th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Great Fourth Druk Gyalpo together with Bhutanese living in Kuwait. Bhutanese living in other GCC countries such as Bahrain, Qatar and UAE also joined the nation in celebrating the auspicious day.
The celebration in Kuwait began with the offering of butter lamps and Zhabten prayers, listening to His Majesty The King’s Royal Address to the nation, followed by a lunch and cultural performances. The event concluded with Tashi Labey.
Under the guidance of the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Kuwait, office bearers of Bhutanese communities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and UAE coordinated recitation of Vajra Guru Mantras and as of 11 November 2025, collectively Bhutanese in these countries have recited over one million Vajra Guru Mantras. The recitations were undertaken for the following reasons:
- For the continued good health and long life of His Majesty the Great Fourth, in gratitude for His Majesty’s unparalleled leadership in protecting, nurturing, and guiding Bhutan towards peace, happiness, and sovereignty;
- To invoke divine blessings for the success of His Majesty The King’s noble initiatives, particularly the visionary Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC), which will create new opportunities for all Bhutanese; and
- For global peace and harmony in these challenging times marked by natural disasters and human-made conflicts.
