Renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding on the King’s Scholarship Programme with Singapore International School in Bangkok

The MoU was signed today by His Excellency Ambassador Kinzang Dorji representing the Office of Youth Welfare and Education under the Office of Gyalpoi Zimpon, and Mr. Kelvin Koh, Chairman of the Governing Board of SISB. Under the renewed MoU, SISB will continue to provide two scholarship annually for Bhutanese students to pursue Grades 11 and 12 from Academic Years 2026 to 2029.

The partnership, which began with the signing of the first MoU in September 2020 and subsequently renewed on 27 March 2023, has made a significant contribution to the education of Bhutanese youth. To date, SISB has awarded 12 full scholarships to Bhutanese students, enabling them to access quality international education.  Ambassador Kinzang Dorji said that every scholarship represents a dream nurtured, a future strengthened, and a life transformed.
