- Visa to Bhutan
The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Canberra does not issue visas or permits to travel to Bhutan. Bhutanese visas and entry permits are issued by the Department of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs in Bhutan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade verifies and recommends visa application for only members and dependents of the international organizations, individuals on official assignment on behalf of the sending state and individuals of interests to the Kingdom of Bhutan.
- Visa to Australia
The Australian Government is the sole authority responsible for visas to Australia. The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Canberra does not process requests related to Australian visas.
In limited circumstances, including emergencies faced by Bhutanese in Australia or official visits to Australia by officials of the Royal Government of Bhutan, the Embassy may be contacted for assistance at rbecanberra@mfa.gov.bt.
iii. Visa to other countries
Visa matters remain within the jurisdiction of the respective countries. Travellers should check with your travel agent or with the Embassy/High Commissions/Consulates of the countries you intend to visit or transit to find out their visa / entry requirements and if you need to apply for a visa. You should do this well before your planned departure date to ensure you have the correct visa. Travellers are also strongly encouraged to ensure that their passports and visas are valid and meet the entry, exit, and transit requirements of the destination and transit countries. The Royal Bhutanese Embassy cannot provide information pertaining to visas of other countries.
