Rome, 22 June 2026 – Kutshab Tshering Lhadn, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bhutan, presented her Letter of Credence to His Excellency Dr. QU Dongyu, the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), accrediting her as Bhutan’s Permanent Representative to FAO.
On the occasion, Kutshab conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of His Majesty The King to DG and his team. She expressed Bhutan’s deep appreciation for its longstanding partnership with FAO. FAO has been a trusted partner in the development of Bhutan’s agriculture, forestry and livestock sectors.
Kutshab thanked FAO for its continued support to Bhutan’s Five Year Plans and reaffirmed Bhutan’s strong commitment to the Country Programming Framework 2024 – 2028. Kutshab also expressed gratitude for FAO’s support to the One Child, One Egg Programme and for jointly launching the roadmap for the Bhutan Agri-Sustain Fund.
Director-General QU Dongyu reaffirmed FAO`s commitment to further strengthening its partnership with Bhutan.
