H.E. Ambassador Sumith Nakandal, Secretary General of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) who was on a farewell visit to Bhutan from 21-23 August, 2017 called on Hon’ble Foreign Minister, Lyonpo Damcho Dorji on 22 August, 2017 at Gyalyong Tshokhang. Secretary General also called on Hon’ble Lyonchhen Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Foreign Secretary, Ambassador Sonam Tshong. Ambassador Nakandala will complete three years tenure as the first Secretary General of BIMSTEC by mid-September, 2017
