THE DEPARTMENT OF PROTOCOL WILL ATTEST DOCUMENTS AS FOLLOWS:
- Documents shall be attested and returned to the applicant within one working day.
- The documents for the attestation may be submitted to the Division between 0900 to 1200 hrs on Monday(s) and Thursday(s).
- Applicants can collect the attested documents from the Division between 1400 to 1700 hrs on Tuesday(s) and Friday(s).
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicant shall:
- apply for attestation of document with a duly-filled in Declaration Form. You can download the form here.
- submit two copies of the document to be attested, of which one shall be retained by Mission and Consular Services Division (MCSD), Department of Protocol.
- produce original document for verification at the time of attestation.
DOCUMENTS
- Ministry shall attest document issued by:
- agency of the Royal Government of Bhutan;
- non-government agency;
- external institution; and
- individual.
- The document issued by a non-government agency, external institution or individual shall, however, be attested only upon notarization from the Public Notary Office.
- MCSD shall not attest original and/or laminated documents.
