Royal Government of Bhutan and HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation signed joint general agreement

On 20th June 2018, the Royal Government of Bhutan, represented by the Department of Bilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Country Office in Bhutan renewed the joint general agreement concerning development cooperation in Bhutan. The agreement provides the general framework of partnership and development activities of HELVETAS in Bhutan covering the period 2018 till 2022.

It reinforces the commitment of HELVETAS Swiss Interoooperation to assist the government, civil society and private sector partners specifically in the fields of vocational skills development, employment, local governance, and civil society engagement.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Kesang Wangdi, Director General, Department of Bilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mrs. Tashi Pem, Country Director of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in Bhutan.

HELVETAS has been active in Bhutan since 1975.
