The Ambassador of Australia to Bhutan, based in New Delhi, India, H.E Ms. Harinder Sidhu called on the Hon’ble Foreign Minister, Lyonpo (Dr.) Tandi Dorji today. The two sides engaged in a friendly discussion over areas of mutual interest and re-committed to promoting and strengthening the partnership between Australia and Bhutan in a manner commensurate with the changing priorities of the two countries.
The Ambassador is on an official visit to Bhutan from 8-11 August 2019. The Australian assistance to Bhutan started in 1960s in the Human Resource Development sector and in animal husbandry program. Today, cooperation in Human Resource Development and Education forms the cornerstone of Bhutan – Australia relations.
