The Department of SAARC & Regional Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized the Fourth Meeting of the National Focal Point and Sectoral Focal Points for SAARC & Regional Organizations on 23-24 May 2018 at Phuentsholing.
More than 25 participants, including Director Generals and Directors from different Ministries and agencies attended the meeting. The meeting discussed new developments and ongoing activities in the areas of regional cooperation. The meeting also provided a forum for the National Focal Point (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Sectoral Focal Points to exchange views, comments and suggestions on improving coordination related to activities of regional organizations in Bhutan and the way forward. Hon’ble Foreign Secretary chaired the second day of the meeting.
