Mr. Karma Tsering Namgyal who has been appointed as the Consul General, Royal Bhutan Consulate, Kolkata, formally joined office on 9^th April 2014 coinciding with the 10^th Day of the 2^nd month of the Wood Male Year in the Buddhist calendar.

The affirmation of appointment was through the Royal Kasho dated 3^rd January, 2014. H.E. Mr. Karma Tsering Namgyal is the second Consul General of Bhutan. The Royal Bhutan Consulate, Kolkata was established in 2009 with consular jurisdiction over the Indian States of West Bengal and Assam.
