It has been brought to the notice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that several Bhutanese pilgrims have been stopped from entering Nepal as they were carrying only Bhutanese Citizenship Identity Card which is not recognized as travel document except in India. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, therefore would like to notify all Bhutanese Citizens traveling to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and all other countries other than India must carry a Bhutanese Passport with a minimum of six (6) months validity.
