On 8 October 2024, Mr. Abel Aballe Despaigne, Chargé d’affaires of the Cuban Embassy in New Delhi, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Foreign Minister.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the cooperation between the two countries in both bilateral and multilateral forums.
Diplomatic relations between Bhutan and Cuba was established on 11 September 2011.
