The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Bangkok celebrates the 35th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan on 21 February 2015. The Embassy rejoices with all Bhutanese people in celebrating this auspicious day when a compassionate King for all generations was born.
At the Embassy in Bangkok, Bhutanese students and residents in Thailand including Thai dignitaries attended the celebrations. The day started with the hoisting of the National Flag, Marchang Ceremony, cutting the cake and singing the Birth Anniversary Shabten, Kutsab’s speech, cultural programme followed by traditional games. Solja Shamdrel, Bhutanese luncheon and refreshments were served. The day long programme ended joyously with Tashi Lebey and everyone wishing Their Majesties the King and the Queen a very Long Life, Good Health and Everlasting Happiness.
